The Impossible Task of the Church And the Infinite Authorities and Powers Available
Yahuwah will be all in all. This is the last stage of the present plan of Elohim in the universe. (1 Cor 15)
After the abolishing of all rule and authority by the Son and the subjection of all creation, heaven and earth to the Son.
After the destruction of death, the last enemy.
After the entire universe has been subject to the Son and every knee has bowed and every tongue confessed “Yeshua ha Mashiach hu Yahuwah” of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
After the Son has handed over the Kingdom to the Father, then Yahuwah will be all in all. He will fill this entire creation so completely that there won’t be an atom who does not know about it.
Who is the Church?
The Church is the Son of Elohim’s very flesh and bones. The Church is the Son of Elohim’s very body, so when he appears we will appear with him in glory. The whole process of subjecting everything to the Son is the process of subjecting every thing to his Bride or his Body. He is the head , we are the neck down. This means we are his feet, his arms his legs. The Church is the fullness of him who fills everything in every way, He who ascended to the highest place so that he might fill the whole creation with his glory. The higher you go the further you can see. It happens when you climb a mountain. It happens when rise take off in an aeroplane. This is the image: the reality is the spiritual realm. The higher you rise the more you can see. Yeshua ascended to the highest place. He sees all history and all the future. He knows what to do.
The greater your name the greater authority you have. Behind a great name is great power. Elohim has exalted Yeshua to the highest place and given him a name which is above every name. Yeshua has the highest name in this age. That means he ahs the highest authority in the entire creation. He is the Creator of the New Creation. He has authority to decree a thing and it shall be. He spoke to the dead that came out the grave as Lord over the grave, the corpse and the dead. He spoke to the blind from the birth, eyes appeared. He was Lord of sight. He spoke to the wind and the waves, they got quiet, Lord of the wind, Lord of the ruach, Lord of the roaring seas. He walked on the water, as Lord of gravity. He worked on shabbath, as Lord of Shabbat. He healed people from a distance at exactly the same time he spoke the word, as Lord of Time and Lord of Space. He was greater than Solomon, the wisest man of the earth, Lord of Wisdom. He was greater than the temple, the very house of Yahuwah, where his name dwelt and from where he would bless the people, Lord of the temple. Indeed after the resurrection and the ascension he was declared by Peter to be Lord of All. He is The highest the mightiest, the wisest, the wealthiest, the most faithful, the most holy, the most righteous, the only sinless. He and his father are one. Their power is one. Their will is one. Their mind is one. Their name is one, Yahuwah. He is in the Father and the Father is in him. If we have seen him we have seen the father. All the work he did the father did. All the words he said, the father said. Mashiach is indeed all in all, as Yahuwah will be all in all.
Yeshua is the head of the body. What he see’s we can see, if we abide in him.
We are One with him even as he is one with the Father. He gave up the glory and came among us in a body, which could go through death. Ho took on a mortal body, flesh and blood. He cried the tears of a child. He breathed the air and ate the food of a human being. He was subject to the very rulers and authorities who will be abolished by him in the end. So it is with his body now, we have the treasure of the glory of Yahuwah in these perishable bodies. Many people did not recognise him. Many people do not recognise us. Yet when he appears we will appear with him in glory. We too will go through death and resurrection and will be clothed with a body of flesh and bone, illuminated by the light of the Spirit. Our life will no longer be in the blood but will be the Spirit of Yahuwah, alone. For even as the Father has granted for the Son to have life in him, so the Son has granted for his bride to have life in her. As Mashiach is so the Church is in the world. The Church is the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Our impossible task, To make Yahuwah all in all.

What is the impossible task of the Church?
To make Yahuwah all in all.
What are the infinite means the church has been given?
Covenant 1
Yahuwah has given covenants by which he has determined to fulfil his plan through the Church in creation. The first covenant was with Adam and the creatures seen above. Yahuwah blessed Adam and the creatures to be fruitful and multiply. He gave Adam dominion over the other creatures, the fish, the birds, the cattles, the others animals and the creeping things. He gave the trees and plants to man and animals for food.
Yahuwah blesses and the creature is enables. He says multiply and they multiply. The covenant consists then of
(A) The Creation with life of Adam or the Animals
The facility in the creation to multiply
The blessing of Yahuwah over the creature. “He blessed them saying”
The fulfil the blessing. The sea or the land
For man he has authority as well as ability to multiply. He has authority as the image and likeness of Elohim. Elohim has authority over all things. He delegates earthly authority to man.
The Covenant included gifts. Man and animals were given the herb and fruit trees for food.
Man was given the whole earth as his realm of authority. And also the sky of the heavens.
In the Son of Elohim Yeshua we see Yeshua exercised his dominion over all elements of creation. He is the light of the world, the source of the light of the sun. When he was crucified the sun did not give forth his light. It was early on the morning of the first that he then appears, like the sunrise but greater for he is its source. He rides on a tamed donkey. He silences the roaring waves and stills the stormy wind. He walks on the waters, even as the Spirit hovered over the waters at the beginning. He controls the fruitfulness of the fig tree, by the words of his mouth. He can move the mountains if he so pleases. The waters gathered to one place in the creation, and the dry land appears. But if Yeshua ot his Church so pleased, they can say to the mountain get back into the sea and it will move. He restored bodies of lepers to wholes, sight to blind eyes, walk to lame legs and brought men back, physically to what they were created to be.
The means Yeshua used to effect all of these activities was faith and speech. He spoke and believed what he said. Just as Yahuwah Blessed the fish and they multiplied, he spoke to the darkness “Yehi Or” and light came forth, so this power to decree a things is given to the Church of the New Creation. We decree the New Creation. For we are created in his image. Whose images are we created in ? We are created in the image of the Son. “Stop lying to one another since you have laid aside the old man who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him, in which there is no Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Mashiach is all in all. And so as those chosen of Elohim, holy and beloved put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and forbearance towards others, bearing with one anotherand forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against another; just as Yahuwah forgave you. And beyond all these things, love, which is the perfect bone of unity.
And let the peace of Mashiach act as arbiter or rule in your hearts, to whichalso you were called in one body and show yourselves thankful, well favoured(eucharistos) or be well favoured or thankful.
Let the logos, reasoning, saying, word, message of Mashiach Yahuwah Elohim richly dwell in with in you in or with all Wisdom (Chochmah), teaching and admonishing one another with psalms(5568 -a set piece of music from psallo strengthened) hymns ( 5215-from hudeo to celebrate religious metrical composition) spiritual songs(from ado to sing means a chant or ode,5603) , singing with thankfulness, grace charis(5485-graciousness, gratitude, joy liberality, pleasure) in your hearts to Elohim.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of Yahuwah Yeshua, giving thanks through him to Ehohim the Father”
So we are created in Yeshua’s image. The same Yeshua who performed all the acts of the Adamic Covenant, He took dominion over the creation and effected the blessing of Yahuwah given in Genesis 1. However he did it mainly in Galilee and Jerusalem. He left his body to continue the work of the fruitfulness, multiplication, filling or replenishing the earth and subduing it. He told them they would do greater things than he did, and already the Church ahs achieved many great things beyond Yeshua’s earthly ministry. Yeshua worked among those who had the scriptures the covenants, the temple and brought a few to repentance. The Church worked among idolaters who ha no scripture, no covenants they remembered and who bowed to idols and loved war and they turned them to the living Elohim from idols. This had not been done on this scale by any prophet before Yeshua. Jonah turned Nineveh arounf for about a generation but after that generation, from about 763 BC to 723BC, their leader was blaspheming Yahuwah. But Jonah became a sign in his successful for in Yeshual all the Goyim will be turned from their evil deeds and not merely for a generation but for ever.
So the Church has the covenant of Yahuwah. And the promises of these covenants are the grounds of hope the Church can use for Believing and Speaking the Covenants into being. They believe with the heart to righteousness and confess with the mouth to salvation, that is temporal and spiritual, deliverance, wholeness preservation and healing. That is the deliverance of the earth from it bondage to corruption due to sin, iniquity and transgression. The first power the Church has in effecting the covenant is the forgiveness of sins. Forgiveness of mans continual transgression of the covenants. By Yahuwah overlooking or winking at the sins committed before and yet still executing perfect justice in the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Yeshua, every nation has an opportunity to begin again. The three main allies of the Church being faith Emuna Hope Tikvah and love Ahavah. The end is love. That is when Yahuwah is all in all Love will be all in all. The whole creation will be bonded together through that bond of perfect unity Love. Then indeed Yahuwah Eloheinu, Yahuwah Echad will be a true reality and not only the declaration of a people who so often misunderstand its meaning.
Emunah is the source of the life of the righteous. The Church is the Righteousness of Elohim in Mashiach Yeshua. The Tikvah is not the hope of righteousness, this is the righteousness of the present age but also the world to come. This righteousness that comes through Mashiach is an eternal righteousness. This kind of righteousness comes only from the Torah of Mashiach, not the Torah of Moshe. This righteousness is first in the heart of man, where Yahuwah has put eternity. The righteousness level of the Torah of Moshe was limited because the Torah of Moshe grew larger the more sin the people committed. Every time a person had a disagreement with another person they went to Moses for a judgment. They might or might not agree with the mishpat received, but they had to accept it. Many of these Mishpatim were written into the Torah of Moses. Therefore sin is at the very heart of that Torah and therefore that Torah can not fit the Olam Haba where only righteousness will dwell. Also the Torah of Moses had to legislate for death, sickness, disease, hatred all things which will not be here in the world to come. These things are all finishing with this age. So the mishpatim, piqod, mitzvoth and Toroth dealing with these are all limited to the time of the present heaven and earth. But when the New heavens and the New Earth are completed then these Mishpatim will be null and void. They will have no place for the sins and sicknesses will be removed, which caused them to be brought forth. Also Yahuwah himself talks about some of the torot instructions or mitvoth commandments he gave the people in the wilderness, through Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
“For I did not speak to your fathers, or command then in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offering and sacrifices, But this is what I commanded them, saying “Obey my voice, and I will be your Elohim, and you will be my people and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you”.
They were so busy with their sacrifices at the time of Jeremiah that they were ignoring the servants the prophets present day voice. Yahuwah was putting a much higher priority on the living voice than on the instruction about sacrifices. In the Olam Haba such sacrifices will be unnecessary, for sin will be removed. The Messianic Torah had one sacrifices for all time for all those being set apart for Yahuwah. It is also a progressive not a static written on tablets Torah. So whilst we are in this age it has certain hope chuqqim (statues) which are here until a certain event, but these are revealed as such. For example The bread and the wine proclaim the death of Mashiach until he comes. When he comes they will have fulfilled their role.
The Torah of Moses was given at Mount Sinai, in the wilderness and on Mount Nebo before Moses died. The Mitzvah to write the Song of Moses, which the Rabbis interpret to mean every man should write a Torah scroll for himself was not given until the first of the 11th month in the fortieth year after Egypt. According to Sefer Ha Hinnuch The Book of Education, it is the last of the 613 mitzvoth of the Torah. So the Torah was in development throughout the period in the wilderness. However the aim of the Torah was to give mitzvot commandmenmts, piqod precepts, chuqqim statutes , mishpatim judgen=ments or ordinances, torot intructions or laws and a Torah which would be for the wellbeing of the people and by which they could live. However because of the continual sins of the people the number of chuqqim were increased and chuqqim were given which were not good for the people and by which they could not live.
And I …gave them chuqqim that were not good and mishpatim by which they could not live by
These chuqqim (statutes) and these judgements were given specifically because of
The children rebelled against me; they did not walk in my chuqqim, nor were they careful to observe my mishpatim, by which if a man observes them he will live Ez 20
It was only in the wilderness because of these rebellion that the curses of the Torah started to be spoken
Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the goyim and disperse them in the lands Ez 20
So we see that part of the Torah of Moses is a judgement on the rebellion of Israel in the wilderness. That element of it at least will not be needed in the Olam Haba the coming age.
The Torah of Moses was also not complete. For within it it gave a hope of a coming prophet. He would come and they would need to listen to him. Until this prophet from the midst of their brethren would come in the name of Yahuwah, not the name of another deity, they would be waiting for him. They also had the line of prophets from Moses to Malachi with Elijah being given special mention. The prophet to come would be distinct from the line of other prophets for he would speak to Yahuwah mouth to mouth unlike the rest of the prophets. Yeshua came as this prophet and was pointed to as Moses successor by the fact that Moses changed the man Hosea son of Nun to Yehoshua and laid his hands on him as successor. Yeshua or Yahoshua son of David came, like Moses he had seen the form of Yahuwah, like Moses and spoke with his father mouth to mouth.
So we see there are many reasons why the Torah of Moses as it stands will not regulate the world to come. The main ones being that sin will not be their and nor will sickness and many laws in the Torah of Moses are dependent upon sin sickness and death. The torah of Messiah on the other hands was given by the Messiah who came and specifically destroyed sin, sickness and finally death. His Torah is written on the heart where eternity dwells and legislates only for life. Faith hop and love are undergirding every part of it and since it is the Torah of the Spirit of Life it connects back to the Elohim Chaim who first breathed in to man life and to the eternity of Yahuwah which Adam lost through sin and not eating of the tree of life. This Torah is Spirit like the Elohim who gave it, unlike Torah on stone, and so can last eternally.
The Covanant means of the Church
There are many covenants which the Church and creation will pass through before finally Yahuwah is all in all. The Church is only given wealth so that Yahuwah may establish his Torah in all the earth. The covenant will be established and all covenants of Yahuwah really find their sources in Yahuwah’s one covenant.
The covenants passed through the following
(1) Adam
(2) Abram /Abraham
(3) Isaac
(4) Jacob/ Israel
(5) Bani Israel
(6a) Judah (6b) Levi
(7) David (7) Phinehas
(8) Yeshua ben David (8) Zadok
The details of the covenant will have to be left for another day. Suffice to say the Messianic covenant of Yeshua , makes him a covenant and effects the heavens the earth, the vegetation and the animals. Also there are two aspects of the covenant that to do with Abraham, his land and the great nation and the blessing of Abraham seed which affects all families of the earth. The main weapons of the Church are then abiding in the covenant Yeshua and decreeing and proclaiming things over the earth which will bring the earth into the covenant. The decrees are through faith and their authority is limited to the name of Yeshua, whose authority is that of the Most High Elohim. That is the power available to the abiding Church by merit of Yeshua is as infinite as their task apparently impossible.
The Task in Biblical Terms
All authority has been given unto me in heaven and in earth. Therefore go make students of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you and lo I will be with you all ways even unto the end of the age.
In Matthew 28 It is nations not just individuals it, it tribes or ethnic or community
groups, not just nation states which are to be taught and baptized.
Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to all creation. The gospel proclamation is to all of creation, not just o mankind. And whilst it is true that only men have the capacity to hear understand and believe, yet the life and blessing of the believing community will impact the animals, fish and vegetation also. As has been seen in some revival communities to day, when man walks in the blessing of Yahuwah it brings health to his animals and abundance to his vegetation. It will limit the effect of famines or remove reasons for famines and remove the necessity of wars being sent for judgment. All parts of creation are affected when a community obeys the gospel.
He who has believed and has been immersed shall be saved but he who disbelieved shall be condemned (Mark 16). The results of the proclamation are contingent on faith and belief as is the success of the Church.
And these signs will accompany those who have believed. In my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will pick up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mark 16)
We can see hear the direct impact upon the physical aspect of nature. At the time of Yeshua demons used to make be deaf and dumb, throw them into fire, throw them into physical fits. They would have them live among tombs and do violent acts. But with the covenant of dominion of man being applied by the Church in the name of Him who is the covenant, all these events will stop. The deaf will hear, the dumb speak and the man who had fits will no longer be subject to these. All the authority of Beelzebub and his assistants the flies will no longer have dominion over men. The corruption nature caused by the demons is corrected.
New Tongues
The very operation of language is changed in the name of Yeshua the covenant. We might ask to what benefit? The answer is that there are many recorded cases where people have been won to Yahuwah by the speech of a man who in the natural never knew their language. But in the name of Yeshua they spoke that new language and the other person or community hearing it was saved. To speak in the language of the Spirit also allows the Secret of Yahuwah to be spoken out and victory of the believer over enemy power without him even being aware of the powers he was dealing with.
Serpents Picked up, killed, rendered powerless or removed
The serpents clearly represent satan’s children. Satan was the serpent in the garden of Eden and it was he who caused man to sin. Then we have Yahuwah taking the people through the wilderness where there were fiery serpents and yet he protected them. The only time the serpents could impact them negatively was when they went into sin.
Using the Tongue to Complain gives power to the serpents
They complained against Yahuwah because of their impatience. They complained claiming Yahuwah had brought them there to die. Only then did the fiery serpents begin to bite them and they began to die. This is the role of Satan. He really only has the job of eating dust. For he was told “on your belly you shall go and eat dust all the days of your life”. With the entrance of sin the serpent becomes the most cursed of all the cattle. But his job was to eat dust. Dust is also a symbol of sinful man for Adam is told “For you are dust and to dust you shall return”.
The Torah of Sin and Death
Here we have the entrance of the Torah of Sin and death. The serpent from the day a man is born is able to begin eating his life, for he is a dust eater and man in the physical is dust, so our bodies grow old and finally turn into dust when the breath leaves. So all the time men lives the serpent is busy eating away at their physical life.
The Torah of the Spirit of Life in Mashiach Yeshua
The only hope for man is in the woman’s seed. For he shall crush the serpents head and the serpents would bruise his heal. Yeshua came and he went into the serpents domain the dusty grave. He then should have turn to corruption or decay and returned to dust. Then the serpent could have eaten him completely. However this did not happen. Instead of decaying to dust he crushed the serpents head, death, and rose from the dead. He nullified the decree of the law of sin and death. Dust you are and to dust you shall returned. The cause of the decree was the dust eater serpent. So Yeshua took the authority of death away from the serpent. Now when a person believed and was baptized he could in the name of Yeshua pick up the serpents.
Why would the believers want to pick up serpents?
In general in the natural there would appear to be only two reasons why a believer would want to pick up a serpent. Firstly to alleviate a threat.,If a serpent was about to cause harm to a child someone who was trained in the art of dealing with serpents, would know how to avoid the danger. Most people, without faith would back off and run, a very fearful but natural reaction. But one with the level of faith of Yeshua is talking about would know exactly how to catch the serpent by the back of the neck and breaks its neck before any danger was done. So the picture here is one of fearlessness regarding mans greatest enemy.
Physical Serpents or Spirits
However we really need to ask the question was Yeshua talking in the first place about physical serpents in this saying? Yes its good to be fearless in the sight of serpents and protect those around from the bite of serpents as Moses in the wilderness, but that was a picture of the reality, some men, without faith, fears man’s greatest enemy, death.
Death is the last enemy to be destroyed by Mashiach . The serpent was the cause of death. Before Yeshua died, crushed the serpents head in the grave and rose again, he had given the students authority to tread on serpents
Behold I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you.
Now the question is did Satan fall physically or spiritually from heaven?
And the answer is clearly spiritually. Therefore if there is a link between Satan’s fall and the Church’s authority over his family, the serpent and the scorpion, it must be a spiritual link. So it is clear. Satan falls from heaven so Yeshua gives the disciples authority over serpents and scorpions. These serpents and scorpions must be as spiritual as Satan himself. It is the context of Yeshua’s statement.
Luke 10 And Mark 16 and the nature of the Serpents
Now we have a precedent to help us understand the signs of the believing communities. In the first case they tread on the serpents or scorpions, spiritual children of Satan. In second case in Mark, after Yeshua has been given a name above every name, after he has overcome the law of sin and death caused by the Serpent, they are told they will pick them up. Clearly the second activity shows more power then the first activity. The first shows that we have the ability to fight and destroy the enemy. The second stage shows we have the ability, in the name of Yeshua, to tame the enemy. The power of the enemy is destroyed in the first case and over powered and perhaps channeled in the second case.
Neither shall they Harm nor destroy in all my Holy Mountain.
So in this affecting of the covenant what do we see. We see an authority being given to the church which renders the enemy harmless. Yeshua says in Luke 10 “ And the seventy returned with joy saying “Lord even the demons are subject to us in your name. And he said to them “Behold I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that you names are recorded in heaven”
In Mark 16 Yeshua says “They will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will pick up serpents, and if they will drink any deadly, it shall not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover”
We can see then that both passages are dealing how to deal with spirits. These matters are spiritual and if a student were to come to Yeshua and talk about physical serpents would he not reply: Do you remember the demons which were subject to me in Gerasenes? Do you remember the demons the students cast out when I sent the students to the villages I was to enter? How could you not tell I was not talking about serpents? It would be the same way as when the disciples asked themselves about forgetting the bread. He asked ‘How did you not know I was not talking about bread?’ He was talking about the leaven of the Pharisees.
Spiritual Authority greater than Physical Authority
So we see that the power here is over spirits of serpents, scorpions, deadly spirits and all the power of the enemy which is spiritual not physical. We should also remember that this authority is greater than that which would be the case if it was merely physical power. And even as a man with faith can curse a fig and it would lose its life and die so a man of faith is given dominion over all cattle. He could like Yahuwah curse a serpent and it would die on the spot. Or like Paul receive a bite from a serpent which naturally would have killed him, but just live on because the Torah of the Spirit of life on Mashiach Yeshua has set him free from the Torah of sin and death.
The key to all of this authority is clear from Mark 16.
Firstly they hear the proclamation of the good news of the resurrection after death. Paul explains a little on the proclamation “The Word is near you in your mouth and in your heart that is the Saying of faith which we are proclaiming or heralding like a public crier. Because if you confess ( 3670 homologeo assent i.e covenant, acknowledgement) with your mouth Yeshua as Yah and believe in your heart Elohim raised him from the dead you shall be saved” We see Paul covers all three stages exactly in order.
Secondly the believing of the proclamation. If you believe in your heart Elohim raised Yeshua from the dead, you will by that faith receive righteousness. For with the heart man believes to righteousness as in the case of Abram. He believed and it was accounted unto him as righteousness.
Thirdly the immersion of the one who has believed. It seems that the immersion is two fold the immersion into water and the immersion into the Holy Spirit. This immersion corresponds with Paul’s act of covenanting or assenting to the statement Yeshua is Yah.
Result: They shall be saved. The word here is sozo and means “Material and temporal deliverance from danger suffering and sickness; preservation” Paul says for with the mouth covenant or acknowledgement or confession is made unto salvation(4991 soteria from sozo used of material and temporal deliverance) The spiritual and eternal salvation is granted to those who believe in Mashiach.
And the signs follow the assent. In the name of Yah Yeshua: they cast out demons, speak in new tongues, they pick up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they lay their hands on the sick and they recover.
We have already gone into the fact that these are all spiritual realities which will have physical effects. However before we move on from this part of the task and the means of the Church we should reflect on a few more things.
Yeshua the covenant of the People and light of the nations
The Church is about establishing the Covenant of Yahuwah in all the earth. This Covenant is manifest in Yeshua the Mashiach as a person. Yahuwah says to his Mashiach “I will keep you and give you as a covenant of the people” As a covenant Yeshua has certain powers. These include “To restore the land, and to make them inherit the desolate heritages” This prophecy was written in the latter part of Isaiah, around the time that the Northern Kingdom of Israel was being deported. So it would have had literal application to the land at that time. We can also see the connection with one of the stipulation of the Adamic covenant. He was told to replenish or fill the earth and subdue it.
Yeshua was prophesied as “Saying to those who are bound “Go forth.”” We remember the lady who was bent over double and Yeshua set her free. He then said “She also is a child of Abraham.” Show again that he was executing the covenant when he did these things.
Enlightening the Hidden ones, Giving Sight to the blind ones
“To those who are in darkness ‘Show yourselves’” Here we reminded of the first act of creation where Elohim said “let there be light” and there was light. Yeshua said to his disciples “What I speak to you in the darkness speak it in the light”. Yeshua is also called a covenant in Isaiah 42
I am Yahuwah , I have called you in righteousness. I will also hold you by the hand and watch over you. And I will appoint you as a covenant to the people. As a light to the nations.”
What then were the authorities which went with this covenant? “To open blind eyes” We saw Yeshua open many blind eyes. It was the first action of creation again. Let there be light. Those who walk in darkness are most assuredly the blind. And yet like his Father who spoke to the darkness and light lit up the deep and the waters, so it was for these blind ones Yeshua gave them light. In one case he sent him to the waters to wash the mud off his eye. The first thing this man would have seen would have been the waters. Even as they were the first thing lit up at creation. Perhaps this points to the beginning of the New Creation.
Freeing Prisoners of Darkness
To bring out the prisoners from the dungeon and those who dwell in darkness from the prison
We are reminded here of Peter who was imprisoned with intent of death. Yeshua sent and angel to him and brought him right out of the dungeon. He was sent out to proclaim the words of life to the masses. The same is true of Paul and Silas who felt the earthquake and their chains fell off. They too went on to proclaim spiritual liberty to those in spiritual darkness and prison. But this saying is no doubt also applicable to those who walk in unforgiveness. For they who do not forgive can find themselves back in a spiritual prison. They are then subject to the tormentors. Yeshua’s authorities’ given with this covenant Messiah are linked with the bringing of the light, whether by opening eyes or releasing from a prison of darkness it is the light of the new creation which is beginning to shine. Yeshua is the light of the world and so his students. And both scriptures tell the Mashiach “I will appoint you as a covenant for the people as a light to the goyim”
The Transformation of the Serpent or its removal
Why would disciples pick up serpents and not just tread on them. The answer is in the works which the Church and the Mashiach are doing. They are nullifying the work of Satan. Satan took the body of a serpent and spewed poison onto the earth through his lies. Yeshua has crushed Satan’s head, so in the redemption which will lead to Yahuwah being all in all, even the serpents, the most cursed of all the cattle will be redeemed. The future relations between the creatures and the harmony of the covenant in execution are seen in Isaiah 11.
“The nursing child will play by the hole of the Cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper den. They will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain”
So we’ve seen already that twice Yeshua has mentioned that the disciples will not come to harm Mark 16, Luke 10. It is the same as these young children and the viper in the vipers den. Neither will harm the other because the poisonous power of Satan has been nullified.
The Knowledge of Yahuwah and his Character
And why will this occur? “Because the earth will be full of the knowledge of Yahuwah as the waters cover the sea. So much knowledge of Yahuwah’s righteousness, lovingkindess and justice, that is his character, will be in the land that day, that if it were not such a good thing you could drown in it. The Sea goes deeper than the mountains go high. This is how deep the knowledge of Yahuwah will be. And since there will be no harming or destroying on all his Holy Mountain, it means the knowledge of Yahuwah eliminates harmful and destructive things and influences. Yeshua pointed to this finalization of the implementation of the covenant by speaking of picking up snakes, not just destroying them as earlier. One might look at it another way and say the snakes are picked up to remove them from the land, because all harmful beasts will be removed from the land. This would mean that the cobra’s hole and vipers den were actually empty. In Matthew 10 the disciples are called babes and so fit the description of the child in Isaiah 11. As to the removal of harmful beasts we have the witness of Ezekiel as well as Isaiah. “And I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land, so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods” Here we see the wilderness which is where the fiery serpents appeared and attacked Israel in the first place.
Summary
The first interpretation then of the snakes and animals has to be spiritual, but with such authority it will no doubt filter down into the natural realm also. Yahuwah shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel, open the mouth of a donkey on Balaam, had a fish pay Yeshua’s taxes and had the fish congregate for being fished just when Yeshua said they would. He fed Elijah with ravens and nullified the poison of a snake against Paul, and sent 2000 pigs to death in Galilee. It is clear that animals are a part of the implementation of the covenant but spirits are also.
The Sayings of Authority given to the Church
We have in Yeshua and the only Church sayings which they used to implement the covenant. Even as we can learn from the prayers of the early Church and the practices of the early Church and Yeshua, so we can learn from the Sayings of Yeshua and the early Church. The Last Adam like the first Adam was given a dominion covenant. Indeed where the first Adam failed the Last Adam succeeded and is succeeding through the Church. All alternative rule and authority is being abolished even as I write. For Paul says
the end comes when he delivers up the kingdom to the Elohim and Father, when he has abolished all rule and all authority and all power. For he must reign until he ahs put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For ‘he has put all things under his feet’”
This last line is a quote from Psalm 8.
Psalm 8 and the Subjects of the Covenant
The Psalm continues “All sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
We see then Psalm 8 is a meditation by David on Genesis 1, and Paul is reflecting on both of them in 1 Corinthians 15. The theme of the Psalm is the majesty of the name of Yahuwah in all the earth. Yeshua quotes this Psalm after the children were singing “Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahuwah” Luke 19 with Matt 21, and the Pharisees knowing what they were saying urged him to rebuke his disciples. But instead he quoted Psalm 8.
So dominion is given to the Son of Man who is head of the Church. We see it is given over the living creatures and that Yeshua takes this not merely in a physical sense but in a spiritual sense. For he speaks of serpents and scorpions and is referring to spirits not just bodies, and Paul also takes it as regarding reference to all rule, authority and power.
